Yana Reutova worked as a dancer, choreographer and teacher in the Odesa region, Ukraine. In 2014 she founded Dance Theatre Plastilin in Chornomorsk and created several award-winning performances. She organised the “Dance Platform Most” festival and worked with children through the Creative Kids project and with her own students. She later started the “Speaking with the Body” festival, which took place once.

In March 2022 she took her daughter and several students and fled the war to Prague, where she has been working since. She has danced in projects by Anna Källblad, Nicole Beutler, POCKETART and Flávia Tápias, leads workshops for children, and develops her own creative work with a range of artists. She works on the triptych Together Alone with dancers from Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Burkina Faso. Her creative collaboration with her youngest dancer, Diana Khruhsch, received a Special Mention from the international jury of the Czech Dance Platform.
